This is a variant of my Empire army. When I was painting up the free company models, I decided that the models would make for some great pirate conversions. Seeing movies like Pirates of the Carribean and Master & Commander helped me with some theme ideas too :)

I'm painting them in basically the same color scheme as my empire army so that I can use the units together in friendly games and it will take a while to build up a whole pirate army anyway. My ultimate goal is to have the army done so that I can play with it at Grand Tournaments next year. Yes, they'll have a boat too, eventually :)
